Kunal (name changed ;)) was a solid sales engineer.
But the brochure and deck his company gave for sales? Pure stone-age weaponry.
Meetings were like:
“Ok. Keep the brochure. We will see when we have time”
“Next slide. Next slide. Next slide.”
And the meeting concluded with: “We’ll get back to you.”
One night, Kunal didn’t make a follow-up plan.
He made a resume.
But then yuktee stepped in.
We handed him a sword: a clear, convincing story through a brochure.
He did not have to speak. And the brochure convinced the prospect.
Next call, same Kunal, different energy. More success. He could leverage his relationship skills rather than breaking head on how to communicate a feature to the prospect.
And that’s the part we don’t hear out loud:
A good brochure doesn’t just win prospects.
Sometimes it saves your best salespeople from quitting.
