You always want to win the customer?
Don’t you?

You work for an online shoe selling website.
Your customer calls you and asks “Why the hell is that pair you’ve put there is not in stock, I want itâ€
What do you do?
If you want to win the customer think the Zappos way!
So here it is, if this happens to a Zappos employee this is what he will do

He will search the competitors’ websites to find the pair which the customer wants.

Yeah. That’s right – the competitors website.

What’s more?

If the shoes are available on the competitor’s website the executive will then guide the customer to that website.

In fact, Zappos induction program trains all its executives to browse at least three other competitor websites so that they can easily find shoes for customers just in case they are not available on zappos.com.
Mostly, customers are surprised first, delighted later and finally connected to zappos forever.

Zappos is committed to customer’s success and not just satisfaction.
Customer success… may not always get you the sale but will earn you a customer for sure.
Customer success is ‘customer centric and binary the customer feels like a winner because of associating with you or he doesn’t. Period.

So what’s this Zappos? An online shoe store? NO
That’s just a part of what they do. Their founder Tony Hsieh says they are in the business of delivering happiness.
Selling shoes is how they do it!

Think it will empty your funds? Think again. Zappos was bought over by Amazon for $1 Billion dollar!
